Arrowhead Racquet Sports
Beyond the Baselines, Chris Nelson and Juli Young return this summer!
After a very successful initial year of partnership with racquet sports management firm Beyond the Baselines, Arrowhead has renewed and extended the partnership. Beyond the Baselines will continue to direct Arrowhead’s racquet sports program through 2027.
Chris Nelson returns as Arrowhead Director of Racquet Sports and Juli Young returns as Head Pickleball Professional.
The 2025 Tennis and Pickleball schedules will be published soon. Get your racquets ready!
The Courts
Arrowhead has a variety of courts available for your enjoyment during the summer:
At the Tennis Center on Arrowhead Drive - 4 clay courts. (Currently closed for the winter)
At the West Racquet Sports Center on Aspen Meadow Drive - 1 multi-use hard court and 4 dedicated pickleball courts on one hard surface. (Currently closed for the winter)

Organized programs run June 24 through August 27. Before and after those dates, you can arrange extra lessons and clinics with the staff privately.

Meet the 2024 Team

Chris Nelson
Chris Nelson, from Cohasset Racquet Club, in Massachusetts, is the Director of Tennis. Chris has been a director for over 10 years. He is certified in both tennis and pickleball and is very much looking forward to working at Arrowhead again this summer.

Juli Young
Native Coloradan Juli Young has had a home in the Edwards area since 2004. A lifelong skier, Juli raced in her youth and then joined the Ski Patrol. Eventually, she became a ski instructor. She started playing pickleball in 2017 and fell in love—fast and hard.
In just six years, Juli has become a national-level competitor, with repeat outings in the Denver Open and the Senior Nationals. In 2022, a regional survey named Juli the Best Pickleball Pro in the Vail valley.
