Arrowhead Wildfire Mitigation Plan
in conjunction with the Eagle Valley Wildland Program, is reducing wildfire risk through mitigation, suppression, and community education.
In 2024, the Arrowhead Metro District completed wildfire fuel reduction on an additional 223.5 acres of land surrounding Arrowhead with partners, Eagle Valley Wildland and the Eagle River Fire District. This was the goal for the year, and brings the total number of acres mitigated to 375 acres. To Arrowhead’s immediate west there are 140 remaining acres of land that the Metro District feels must be mitigated for wildfires by dramatically reducing fuel loads, and they are committed to finishing that piece in 2025.
