HIKING

In the heart of Vail Valley, Arrowhead provides central access to some of the most beautiful views of the Rocky Mountain Range accessible by hiking.  In the summertime, wild flowers abound, in the fall the Aspens are getting their signature golden color, and the winter offers lovely views of snow-covered mountain tops and a true Colorado Winter wonderland.

Upper Arrowhead Mountain trails will be CLOSED May 1 - June 30th for wildlife calving and migration.

Lower Arrowhead Mountain trails will remain open and are not subject to the wildlife closure. Please remember that hiking and biking etiquette says “A muddy trail is always a closed trail.” Using a trail while it is muddy degrades the quality of the trail for the remainder of the season. Please assess the conditions before accessing the trails.
